Klean Power

The Klean Group

Klean Group

Klean Power is part of the Klean Group and is wholly owned by Klean Industries. The group spans finance, carbon products, fuels, consulting, water and recycling, which is why a waste to energy enquiry rarely has to leave the building to find the right specialist.

Why the Group Structure Matters

A municipal waste to energy project touches technology, capital, permitting, water and residual materials at once. Klean Power supplies Advanced Thermal Recycling (ATR®), the technology selected by the City of Vancouver for the GVRD Waste to Energy Project from a field of 21 vendors, while sister companies cover the funding, consultancy and downstream resource recovery around it.

Industrial and Technology Companies

  • Klean Industries is an environmentally conscious industrial energy company focused on renewable energy, resource-recovery and recycling solutions, specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of advanced thermal treatment facilities using carbonization, liquefaction, pyrolysis and gasification technologies.
  • Klean Power is focused on the upcoming Waste to Energy project in Vancouver, partnering with Plenary Group and Corix to deliver a state-of-the-art integrated waste processing facility based on a commercially proven technology platform.
  • Klean Fuels uses a plastics-to-oil technology known as pyrolysis to convert a wide variety of waste plastics into ASTM spec grade liquid fuels.
  • Klean Carbon produces CBk-EX®, CBk-RX® and CBk-SX® carbon black reinforcing fillers that can fully or partially replace N300, N600 and N700 series conventional carbon blacks.
  • Klean Coal develops alternative fuel projects based on low grade coals using technologies that are environmentally sound, commercially proven and in use on a large scale around the globe.
  • Klean Energy is a project based on a new and improved technology platform for heavy oil production, upgrading and in-situ developments in Alberta's oil sands.
  • Klean Hydrogen converts end-of-life tires, plastics and municipal waste into green hydrogen, co-produced at every facility with on-site refuelling and fuel-cell truck logistics.
  • Klean Biochar produces carbon-negative biochar from biomass pyrolysis for agricultural soils and carbon-removal markets.
  • Klean Graphene produces advanced nanocarbon materials — graphene, carbon nanotubes and fullerenes — recovered from waste tires for battery, composite and electronics applications.
  • Klean Gasification converts municipal and industrial waste into clean syngas and renewable energy through advanced gasification.
  • Klean Graphite supplies high-purity graphite and conductive carbon for battery anode, lubricant and industrial applications.
  • Klean Loop provides the tire-recycling traceability layer, recording every tire through the TyreNova process so recovered carbon black, oil and steel can be verified end to end.

Capital, Services and Resources

  • Klean Capital is an active investor in the property, waste management, energy storage, renewables, cleantech and green technology sector, offering project financing, private equity, trade finance, PPP funding and venture capital.
  • Klean Consulting is the management consulting arm of Klean Industries, a leading resource recovery and sustainability consultancy guiding research, strategy, policy development and action plans.
  • Klean Commodities manufactures, distributes, imports and exports sustainable high grade commodities and chemical raw materials.
  • Klean Water provides commercially proven water treatment technologies for the oil and gas, mining and municipal sectors.
  • Klean Oils is the exclusive importer and exporter of the patented ECO-Klean (Lube) Oil Dialysis Technology, which eliminates the need for oil changes.
  • Klean Recycling recycles used electronics, recovering gold, silver, platinum and palladium along with plastics and additional metals for reuse.
  • Klean Travel offers personalised travel services that are carbon neutral, offset with certified carbon offsets at no extra cost to travellers.
